Grades 3, 4, 5

Elementary Grades 3-5

The 3rd –5th curriculum centers around the acquisition of necessary skills to stimulate and continue the learning process by building on prior knowledge and developmental skills. Appropriate activities are designed to allow each child to meet New York State learning standards with success and positive feelings toward learning these standards.
Using various instructional materials, students in these elementary grades are continuing to develop necessary skills in the areas of ELA, Spelling, Math, Science and Social Studies. All students are preparing for the New York State assessments in ELA and Math. In addition, fourth graders are assessed by the New York State in the area of Science, while fifth graders are assessed the area of Social Studies.
