Our Bolton Community BCS Reaps Great Rewards from Community Partnerships Ask any five people what they like best about a small town and you’ll probably get five different answers. But ask BCS Superintendent Raymond Ciccarelli what he likes best, and he’ll say the commitment of the residents to students in the Bolton Central School. “When I stop and think about how this community, very quietly, does so many things in general for our kids, it amazes me,” said Mr. Ciccarelli. “From supporting our school budget to providing scholarships to deserving graduates, the Bolton community comes through time and time again.” Mr. Ciccarelli said that much of the commitment to BCS is done quietly, with little or no recognition, and he thinks that it’s appropriate to let residents know how much the district appreciates it. “Even things that appear simple like letting our students use the facilities at the local businesses and public sites are immeasurable,” said Mr. Ciccarelli. “The Booster Club supports our sports teams over and over again with little fanfare. And since the 1960’s, the Scholarship Association has presented over 380 BCS alumni with cash grants exceeding $225,000. These are a few of the many things that come to mind when I think of community support for our children. On behalf of the staff, administration and the Board of Education, I would just like to say to the every facet of our Bolton community THANK YOU.” Please access some of the links in this section to learn more about some of these organizations.
