Emergency Student Closings

School may be closed at any time of year due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. When school is closed or dismissed early, all extracurricular activities and events for the remainder of that day and evening are also canceled, unless otherwise announced.

We are aware that emergency closings are often unexpected and parents may not be home to receive children. Thus, once school is in session we make every effort to stay open. In the event of a closing, we also want to make certain the Town Highway Department has the opportunity to properly clear and sand roads for buses and individuals picking up children at school.

Additionally, based upon information given to the school upon student registration, recorded telephone mesaages will be distributed by the Bolton Central School Automated Information System to parents as the need arises.
