Medication in School

If your child must consume medication during school hours we require a note from your doctor stating the name of the medication and specific prescription information including frequency and dosage. We must also have a note from the parent giving permission for the medication to be given at school.

The medication must be brought to school by the parent in its original container and be locked in the Health Office (Room 103). This applies to over-the-counter medications as well as prescriptions.  Students should not carry medications to be taken on their own while on school property or participating in school functions. Exception can only be made for students requiring inhalers for asthma. However, arrangements should be made through the Health Office.
