In an effort to give elementary students a taste for the foreign languages offered at BCS, foreign language teacher Mr. Francisco Roca read a picture book entitled, Abuela by Arthur Dorros in Spanish. The story describes a little girl’s adventure and what happens while riding on a bus with her grandmother. The little girl imagines that they are carried up into the sky and fly over the sights of New York City. Mr. Roca’s seventh grade Spanish class were eager to share their Spanish reading skills as well. In addition to Spanish, BCS students gain experience of the French language by foreign language teacher Leona Denne.
