Basketball season may have started but the fall season has wrapped up magnificently for our student athletes!
Recently, seven members of the Bolton-Warrensburg Girls Soccer team were recognized at the Section 2 Girls Soccer All-Star banquet held in Albany. Pictured from left to right are : Hannah Daken, Halley LaBrecque, Caitlin O'Donnell, Elli York, Maille Kelley, Madison Goodspeed, and Zailey Baker. Also in the team picture is head coach, Scott Smith. Congratulations girls on an excellent season and with all of your accomplishments.
The Section 2 Boys Soccer All-Star Banquet was also held recently. This group gathered in Saratoga Springs with several members of the team being recognized as an Adirondack League All-Star. Pictured, from left to right, are Ben Holcomb, Keith Sonley, Coach Rob Thomas, Shane Mowery, Louis Lang, and Sullivan Eager. Missing from the photo but also recognized were Jace Hubert and Andy Morehouse. The team was also awarded the prestigious John Hogan Sportsmanship Award in Class C, and Coach Thomas can be seen holding that plaque. Congratulations men on your accomplishments and on a great season. It is an amazing achievement to go undefeated in 18 matches and only receive one yellow card in boys’ soccer all season!
We are also proud to share that Riley Huck was recognized as a 1st Team All-Star- awesome job Riley!
In addition to demonstrating outstanding athletic skill, our student athletes have been recognized by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association as a Scholar-Athlete Team. This award was creating to highlight outstanding scholastic achievement by varsity level student athletes. The team’s average GPA for 75% of the roster must be greater than or equal to 90.00. We are so proud to acknowledge both our 2024 Varsity soccer teams and golf team - strong on the field AND in the classroom!!
