This morning Bolton Central School students had the honor of being a part of The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Moving Wall Ceremonies held at Veteran’s Park. "The Moving Wall" is the half-size replica of the Washington, DC Vietnam Veterans Memorial and has been touring the country for over thirty years. It provides an opportunity for those who are not able to travel to Washington DC to be able to visit the memorial.
Our juniors and seniors were invited to help assemble this humbling monument. Working together with members of American Legion Post #961, many local veteran's and other volunteers, this noble task was truly a once in a lifetime opportunity. The Moving Wall, a Vietnam Veterans Memorial replica is on view in Veteran's Park from September 18th through September 22nd. We are so very proud of our students and our community. Thanks to the efforts of American Legion Post 961 and the Town of Bolton, visitors both near and far, will be able to pay their respects to those lost.
