Each and Every Day, To and From; Bolton Central School Bus Drivers Are There for Students!
Many Bolton Central School students ride the school bus each day. Our drivers are the first BCS face they see at the start of their day and once again when their day is through. Those who don’t ride the bus to or from school are sure to step on one of our school buses for field trips or athletic competitions. Safe to say that every Bolton Central School student has shared some time with at least one of our dedicated team of eleven school bus drivers. Our drivers’ first priority is to ensure the safety and well-being of each and every passenger, but their commitment goes well beyond that. BCS bus drivers’ are there when our students enjoy new experiences. From a journey to Crown Point Historical Site to learn about bird banding to a 72 hour immersive overnight trip to SUNY Cortland’s Outdoor Education Center at Camp Pine Knot, Raquette Lake. Our remarkable group is also on hand for the rides back and forth to Bolton after the many wins, losses and ties of countless games throughout our students’ entire athletic careers. Members of the Bolton Central School Transportation Department have been consistently and affectionately part of the collective creation of lifelong fond memories of our students.
Recently Transportation Supervisor Mr. Patrick Ross had an opportunity to recognize the dedication and perseverance of all the drivers of the Bolton Central School Transportation Department. To say the District is fortunate to have such an outstanding crew is an understatement. The combined years of service this group has accumulated is approximately 260 years. Several drivers are the second generation of their families to take on this remarkable responsibility. Many of our drivers have watched students grow into vibrant members of the community and raise families of their own. We cannot begin to thank our drivers for all they do for our students and the positive contributions they commit to each and every day.
