Recently our Kindergarten students were treated to a visit from Communications Officer Brandon Dague. Officer Dague visited the class as part of Fire Safety and Prevention Week. The visit included sharing a book about fire safety titled “Staying Safe Around Fire”, practicing how to properly dial 911 with a toy phone, and taught the class the do’s and don’ts of calling 911 for an emergency. Officer Dague helped students understand the importance of knowing your address and even demonstrated to the students how a 9-1-1 call comes up on a map that dispatchers use.
Our students were very excited to receive an official Sheriff badge stickers and learn more about when to call 9-1-1.
Thank you, Officer Dague and all our Communications Officers, and first responders!
