The timing could not have been better! Recently arrangements were made for our 2nd through 5th grade students to build their own tool boxes. This hands-on, engaging activity provided students with an introduction to building and creativity. The experience was led by a several professionals in the building industry, and BCS staff was on hand too. The Toolbox Kit included pre-cut, wood pieces and screws needed for assembly of a toolbox, plus tape measure and a kid’s tool apron for them to take home. Once the program was in full swing, School Counselor Mrs. Borgh exclaimed, “it sounds like Santa’s workshop in here!” Students being able to possibly create something for someone else was an added bonus to an already fun activity.
