Have you ever wanted to know more about the stars in the night sky? Our Kindergarten class recently visited the StarLab at Up Yonda Farm Environmental Education Center.
The portable planetarium, StarLab, is used for programs and presentations that are held indoors during the day. Students learned about some of the constellations in our sky and heard the mythology behind them. Once back in the classroom, our student astronomers got to work recreating the aurora borealis on paper! The Northern Lights have been visible in our local skies more than usual and this particular unit of study has our students stargazing with confidence!
