Bolton's 2018 Peer Mentoring Program Ends with Success
Posted on 06/12/2018

In a final culmination of Bolton Central School’s Peer Mentoring program, the group spent their last day at Camp Echo Lake in Warrensburg participating in a variety of final teambuilding and celebratory activities.  The program, led by School Psychologist Terry Begly, was developed to engage older students to collaborate with younger students through activities meant to increase peer mentorship and boost self- confidence.

Throughout this year, student mentors met two times per month with their mentees.  During each mentoring session, the students participated in activities that focused on a variety of developmental assets including building self-esteem and confidence, improving grades, study skills and academic achievement, setting achievable goals, respecting individual differences, and working cooperatively to resolve conflict.
