Battle of the Books 2024 was held on Monday, March 11th at SUNY Adirondack. This year the event hosted hundreds of students to make up 76 teams from 21 schools in grades 3, 4, 5, and 6 competing. Bolton Central School sent three teams of 21 students in grades 3, 4 and 6 to the event. Students work very hard each year to prepare for this day of competition. Beginning in October, the groups meet weekly and each student reads ten books (five fiction and five nonfiction). Sometimes they even read the books more than once. Then they compete with other schools to test their knowledge of the books that they have read.
