Recently, the Queensbury Hotel hosted this year’s “North Country Festival of Trees” to benefit the Prospect Center. The family-friendly weekend included holiday shopping, breakfast with Santa, children's activities, and line dancing. Local performers were on-hand to entertain attendees all weekend.
Entertainment also included a performance by TUBA CHRISTMAS. Celebrating their 50th year of performances, TUBA CHRISTMAS concerts/events are presented throughout the world. TUBA CHRISTMAS was conceived in 1974 by Harvey Phillips as a tribute to his teacher and mentor William J. Bell, born on Christmas Day, 1902. This year's local Tuba Christmas Chapter which was directed by Mrs. Penny Schiek, involved over two dozen tuba players. The group included two of our own Bolton Central School Seniors, Daniel Cooper and Lukas Becker, along with Mr. DeLappa playing by their side!
