As part of Fire Safety and Prevention Week, our elementary students head down to the Bolton Volunteer Fire Department. As part of their visit, students get to meet and learn about the fire department, the brave people involved, how they fight fires and most importantly, how to prevent them! This year our friends at the Bolton Volunteer Fire Department set up a supervised activity where students could try and hit a target with water from the fire hose. This gave students a pretty good idea of how my strength it takes to be a fire fighter.
Everyone had a turn trying to hit a cone and also a chance to sit in the fire truck. We would like to thank our teachers for taking pictures!
Our students learned a lot and got to meet some of the members of the Bolton Volunteer Fire Department. Thank you to our community and our fire fighters for all you do for us!
