Basic School Philosophy
Bolton Central School, established in 1927, acknowledges the diverse needs of its students and is dedicated to educational innovation. We focus on the development of well-rounded individuals who value diversity and respect for themselves and others. This occurs by balancing academics, athletics, the arts, cultural experiences outside the District and involvement in the Adirondack environment. Our students develop a social consciousness and worldview that provides a foundation for lifelong moral and intellectual growth. Individualized instruction maximizes the potential of each student within our supportive, nurturing environment. Bolton Central School faculty, staff and parents all play a significant role in the development of our students. Educators are afforded a unique opportunity to apply their creativity to foster an enhanced learning environment that imparts wisdom as well as knowledge. Enduring relationships formed within and outside of the school are an integral aspect of our educational experience. Bolton Central School is an institution that, in part, serves to define our community. Continued pride in our school and commitment from the community is the foundation for the successful achievement of our educational mission.

A History of Service
Bolton Central School, since our doors were opened in the Fall of 1927, has offered students in our community an opportunity to grow, learn and participate holistically in a PK - 12 environment focused on their development. Our rural, small educational experience allows for focused student and teacher involvement. Small class sizes, a progressive approach toward learning technology and educational methodology, plus the support of the community each play a vital role creating life long opportunities for Bolton graduates. After all is said and done, it is our hope that Bolton graduates continue to proceed with lives in which they feel well prepared for and are proud to say that they are graduates of Bolton Central School.
