Congratulations to the 21 Students Involved in Youth and Government 2022 Conference
The Youth and Government Conference is held over a weekend in March each year and was an event that was sorely missed over the past few years. Bolton Central School’s 21 participants had a great experience this past weekend!
Here are a few highlights from this year’s conference:
Ila Hubert received the Outstanding Press Delegate award.
Tyler Trowbridge received an award for Outstanding Debate.
Tyler Trowbridge was also selected to attend the Conference on National Affairs (CONA).
Nora MacInnis was selected as an alternate for CONA.
Bolton Central School is part of District 3 and we are proud to share that we received recognition as a “Premier District.”
Three of the four bills presented by our students passed in their legislative chambers and two of the three were signed into law by the Youth Governor and Cabinet members.
It was a busy and enriching weekend for all the students involved; being able to work together with their peers from around the region was a great privilege. The hard work Bolton students put into this event is inspiring. Watching our youth take an interest in the workings of our political process and serving as leaders among their peers is remarkable!
