Posted on 05/31/2022

Capital Area School Development Association (CASDA)’s annual recognition program honors the outstanding graduating seniors  from high schools throughout the region. Recognized students are chosen by their schools on the basis of academic achievements, community service and leadership to their schools or communities, or other unique accomplishments. Each nominated student then selects a teacher who has had a significant influence on their education. Congratulations to Bolton Central School senior Andrew Johnson, who in turn, selected Mr. Steve Beuerman as a teacher to recognize.

Andrew is Valedictorian of the Bolton Central School Class of 2022. He will earn a Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation with Honors, and Endorsements in Math and Science.

Andrew is kind, intelligent and a fast learner. He is a three-sport athlete and is active in Student Council, National Honor Society, and Youth and Government. Andrew is dedicated to community service through our PTO Booster Club and Peer Mentoring Program. He is a role model for our building.

Andrew wished to honor Mr. Beuerman. Mr. Beuerman fostered Andrew’s appreciation of nuclear energy systems and engineering through physics. Thank you, Andrew Johnson and Mr. Beuerman, for being outstanding role models for our educational community!
